Fresh eggplant, Michigan peaches, portabella mushrooms, cukes and
black popcorn–all from my local farmer’s market. Love it!

1. Why My Heart is Breaking
======================================
Every time I hear one of these three comments, sadness grips me:
–“I’m not blogging yet because I don’t have time.”
–“The reason I don’t blog is because I can’t think of anything
to say, and I don’t want people to leave bad comments at my blog.”
–“I’m already blogging, but I only post about once a month. I
don’t write more than that because I’m not getting any traffic.”
I hear this at least three times a week!
Patiently, I try to counter each of those arguments with solid
reasons why blogging positions you as an expert in your field,
pulls traffic to your website and impresses the heck out of
people who type a problem into the Google search box, end up
at your blog, and find the answer.
Now, I have one more piece of major artillery: Blogging shortcuts
from Danny Iny, who grew traffic to his own blog by 100 times,
largely through guest blog posts he wrote for many high-traffic
blogs.
If you don’t have time to blog, he knows shortcuts galore.
If you can’t think of anything to say, he’ll help you come up
with so many ideas, you won’t know what to write first.
And if you only post once a month, he’ll show you how to write a
top-quality, 1,000-word post in less than one hour.
I’m hosting a free webinar at 3 p.m. Eastern Time today, and I’m
giving Danny an hour and 15 minutes to explain his techniques,
and answer all your questions. Even if you’re not convinced that
blogging is for you, register anyway, and then decide.
Go to http://www.writelikefreddy.com/site/webinar-joan-stewart to
claim your seat. See you this afternoon!
Danny’s nickname, by the way, is “The Freddy Krueger of Blogging”
because he has had so many guest blog posts published that every
time you turn around, he’s there.

2. Turbocharge Your WordPress Blog
=====================================
Here’s another reason why you should be blogging.
Social media expert Don Crowther, who has taught me more about
social media than any other expert, has created a series of free
videos about the three most powerful things you can do to build
traction, pull traffic and sell more products and services, using
social media.
I’ll send you an email later this week with a link where you can
watch it.
Here’s the best part. The video comes with a piece of free
software that will turbocharge your WordPress blog, make your readers
love you, and spread the word about what you’ve posted to people who
don’t know about you but need the tips and advice you’ve shared.
You don’t have to buy anything. The video and software are free.
Watch your email for more about this–probably in a few days.

3. How to Jazz Up Your Bio
====================================
Does your bio make readers smile? Or does it sound like the same
old recitation of name, rank and serial number?
I have a list of 12 questions you can ask yourself. If you weave
some of the answers into your bio, you’ll give readers a glimpse
into your personality, radiate warmth, and make them want to know
more about you.
You can find all the questions in the blog post I wrote this
morning on “How to Write a Bio That’s Fun and Intriguing” at
http://publicityhound.net/?p=12176.
