1. Bad Pitches: Are You Guilty?
==================================

Here’s what really rankles journalists about bad pitches:

–People addressing them by a wrong first name.

–Spin. Lots and lots of spin.

–Pitches sent from an AOL or Hotmail account which also sends
the message, “I’m cheap.”

–Never-ending follow-ups.

–Misspelling the name of the journalist’s media outlet.

2. Create Free Infographics
================================

You can’t tweet or surf the web anymore without stumbling upon an
eye-popping infographic.

Most of the better ones are time-consuming and expensive.

But I spent just a few minutes at Visual.ly at http://visual.ly/
and created a neat infographic that compares my Twitter stats
with those of Oprah.

Take a look at what I produced at

Visual.ly in a publicity campaign
