1. Free Infographics Tool
======================================
If you can master PowerPoint, you can make one of those fancy
infographics with a free tool offered by HubSpot at
http://www.hubspot.com/free-template-easily-create-infographics-
in-powerpoint/
You’ll love this template, which gives you three choices: a step-
by-step infographic, an informational infographic or a data-
packed infographic.
My assistant, Christine Buffaloe of Serenity Virtual Assistant
Services, made one that explains, step by step, “How to Use Video
to Promote Your Business on Pinterest.” It took her about three
hours, including creating all the screenshots.
You can see it at

ease/
Yours doesn’t have to be this elaborate. Start out small until
you get the hang of it. These wildly popular infographics are
great for pinning on Pinterest, accompanying a blog post or
offering to your media contacts when you pitch a story.
You can also create pie charts, doodles, flow charts, bar charts,
maps, word clouds and those fun little sticky notes. I
demonstrated how when I hosted the webinar on “How to Easily
Create Free or Inexpensive Infographics.”

2. How I Created My Pinterest Tips
=====================================
The publicity tips I’m pinning on my Pinterest board at
http://pinterest.com/publicityhound/50-tips-for-free-publicity/
are pulling traffic back to my blog posts, being repinned by some
of the 1,253 people who follow me, and they’re helping me sell
products that I promote within the posts.
I’ve been inundated with questions about how I create the images
and link those tips to my blog.
Social media expert Don Crowther, who taught me how to do it,
actually demonstrated the entire process during a webinar
yesterday on how to stop wasting time with social media and focus
only on three things that will make you money.
You can catch the replay at
http://3xsocialwebinars.com/replays/replay-joanstewart/. Listen
today if you can because he’ll be taking it down soon.
Today’s Pinterest tip, the 19th of 50, explains what you can
learn from ProjectForgive.com and LandmarkEducation.com which got
onto CNN all because of a compelling story. Click on the image

3. Another LinkedIn Tip
====================================
Professional speakers and consultants who are going out of town
on vacation, or on business, can use LinkedIn’s search function
to piggyback a speaking engagement or consulting assignment onto
their trip.
It’s easy, if you know how to use the site’s search function and
really drill down to find the exact types of audiences or
companies that need what you can provide.
On Thursday, LinkedIn expert Wayne Breitbarth will demonstrate
how he uses the search function in tandem with another LinkedIn
tool that gets him quick recommendations and glowing reviews from
people he’s worked with. Note: This is NOT the standard tool that
lets you ask your contacts for a recommendation. It’s one of the
little-known and little-used tools he will demonstrate during the
webinar “4 Secret LinkedIn Power Tools to Connect with
Journalists and Put Money in Your Pocket” at 3 p.m. Eastern Time
on Thursday, Aug. 30.
If the time is inconvenient, register anyway because I’m
recording it, and I’ll send you the replay link. Register at
