the Greeks been eating this for centuries and keeping it a
secret?

1. Pinterest for Boring Industries
======================================
When I spoke about Pinterest last week to FOCUS, a women’s
business group in Wisconsin, I explained how to choose topics for
colorful, gripping or humorous boards to pull traffic to their
websites.
Pinterest, I explained, is all about the dream. It’s the dream of
looking thinner and being prettier, the dream of living in a
palatial house, the dream of hosting a dinner party in your
pagoda-style three-season room in your backyard, complete with an
army of cooks and servants.
“But what if I work at a bank?” someone asked.
OK, then, how about a board of whimsical origami birds and
animals, made from dollar bills? People actually dream of being
able to make those birds by folding the crisp bills in their
pockets.
Or a board of colorful piggy banks? Savers are always dreaming of
cracking them open some day and carting their treasure to the
bank, or spending it on something they’ve seen on Pinterest.
If you’re curious about what other companies in your not-very-
visual industry are pinning, do a Google search for “best
manufacturers on Pinterest” or “top health care Pinterest
boards.” Within seconds, you’ll find boards that will spark
ideas. Don’t forget to like, comment on and repin interesting
images you find on those boards.

2. Your LinkedIn Company Page
====================================
You hear it all the time: “Don’t promote on social media!”
That’s not what LinkedIn says. Its Company Pages are the PERFECT
place to promote like crazy and share news big and small, as well
as publicity you’ve received.
To make it easy for you to promote, LinkedIn even has special
tabs reserved for your products and services, including photos,
videos, detailed descriptions and those all-important links to
your website!
One of the big advantages of Company Pages is that anyone,
regardless of whether they’re connected to you, can subscribe to
your company’s status updates. That includes journalists,
bloggers, potential clients, book editors and publishers, meeting
planners and anyone else who is in a perfect position to do
business with you.
But if you don’t know all the opportunities for attracting
followers, and keeping them engaged and wanting more, you’re
leaving money on the table.
LinkedIn expert Wayne Breitbarth, who has presented four webinars
for The Publicity Hound, all to raving audiences, will be back
again on Wednesday, March 13, for another power-packed
demonstration. This time, it’s on “How to Use LinkedIn Company
Pages and Ads to Attract an Audience, Promote Your Heart Out and
Help Them Buy.”
I asked Wayne to include a segment on how to buy LinkedIn ads
because, if done correctly, you can target your message with
amazing accuracy. If done incorrectly, you can lose your shirt.

3. 22 Income Streams for Authors
====================================
Authors, if your book is your main revenue source, no wonder
you’re eating beans and rice.
Many authors become so frustrated with the sluggish process of
selling books that, within a year of publishing their first one,
they abandon the marketing and publicity and direct all their
efforts toward writing the second one.
What a mistake! A book is a calling card–an opportunity for
publicity so people can learn about you and all the other
products and services you offer.
There are almost two dozen more spin-off opportunities from your
book, and Steve Harrison will explain them all during a
teleseminar this Thursday, Feb. 28, at 2 or 7 p.m. Eastern.
You’ll also learn three ways to turn what you write into strong
passive revenue month after month, and one simple idea which
produced over $1 million for one author very quickly.
Claim your seat for this call, which is absolutely free.
It’s the second preview teleseminar for Steve’s upcoming Quantum
Leap Publicity & Marketing Program. I’m a compensated affiliate.

Keep your eyes on this dog’s face as his owner strums the guitar.
Hysterical. Thanks to Publicity Hound Sheila Callaham of Chapel
Hill, NC, the mom of four dogs, including three rescues.
