This Week in the Hound House:
I don’t have kids so I haven’t been interested in babies until my niece had twin girls four weeks ago. Now, I eagerly await any morsel of news about my precious Tater Tots, even if it’s to learn their little belly buttons have fallen off. That’s Alena on the left and Lily on the right, fast asleep yesterday. Now isn’t this nicer than a photo of two dust mites?
1. Create a River of Amazon Reviews
A few years ago, finding Amazon book reviewers was a lot easier than it is today.
You could go to the list of reviewers, hover your cursor over the reviewer’s name, and up popped a small box like the one you see here. It included basic information about the reviewer and tags that would help you decide if the reviewer was one you might pitch. You could click on the reviewer’s profile and read more.
Those days are over. That box doesn’t pop up anymore. If you want details about the reviewer, you have to click on the name. That’s a lot of clicking and jumping back and forth.
Sifting through all those reviewer profiles to find the ones that would be interested in your topic can take days—-weeks even.
Join me for free webinar with Debbie Drum, who has published more than 50 books under various pen names, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Eastern tomorrow–Wednesday, Dec. 16–on “How To Find Powerful Influencers on Amazon to Review Your Books and Help You with Your Marketing–-for Free.”
She’ll explain how to find reviewers quickly, pitch them correctly, and avoid many of the landmines, like review swapping, that can cause major trouble for you.
We’ll introduce you to a tool she has created that’s helping authors find ideal reviewers for their books super-fast and pitching them even faster.

2. My “Best of” Gift to You
It’s been an annual tradition since 2005, and Publicity Hounds would turn into junkyard dogs if I stopped doing it.
It’s “The Best of The Publicity Hound’s Tips of the Week of 2015,” two dozen of the most valuable tips I’ve shared here this past year–my holiday gift to you.
It includes my readers’ favorite advice, templates, toolkits, tricks, cheat cheats, infographics, and checklists for publicity, book marketing, pitching, creating and repurposing content, writing for mega-sites, crushing it on social media, and lots more.
You’ll find coupons throughout the book, perfect if you need to do last-minute shopping for Publicity Hounds on your list.
Regifting, by the way, is the gift that keeps on giving. So don’t be shy. Share the link http://publicityhound.com/bestof2015 with your friends, followers and fans.
I’ve made it easy for you. You can grab the cover and about a dozen tweets over at The Publicity Hound blog.
