This Week in the Hound House:
I’m tying up loose ends so I can head out this weekend for the second annual Publishing at Sea cruise for authors that I’m co-hosting with book publishing experts Judith Briles and Amy Collins. It’ll take a little schedule-shuffling, but I’ll be able to watch my Green Bay Packers take on the Seattle Seahawks for the NFC championship Sunday afternoon. It’ll be weird watching football in flip-flops instead of fleece, but I’m ready. My Packers earrings are coming with me.
1. Big Changes Online
After selling online and generating publicity for almost two decades, I like to think I know a thing or two about what’s happening in the digital marketplace.
The problem is, it’s changing so rapidly–daily almost–that I can hardly keep up with it.
If I don’t, I risk falling behind the pack and fizzling out.
When it comes to learning about “what’s next” in the online business world, there are only a handful of folks I trust to provide accurate and honest foresight.
Danny Iny from Firepole Marketing is one of those people.
Having grown his own business to seven figures in less than three years, Danny’s track record speaks for itself. You might be one of the many Publicity Hounds who has taken advantage of his free training the last few years on topics like guest blogging and how to build a raving fan base.
Now, for the first time, he’s about to reveal EXACTLY what the online business landscape is going to look like moving forward—and more importantly, the strategies you need to implement right now to ensure you’re ready to thrive.
His world premiere training event, The New Paradigm, will show you:
–What the future of promoting and selling products online looks like, and how to get a head start on a new, reliable and repeatable system that all but guarantees your success. This is a proven, step-by-step process, not a pipedream.
–The core principle of the “new paradigm” that you can apply immediately to realign your focus, make better business decisions, delight your audience, and strategically add more dollars to your bottom line.
To take advantage of Danny’s first free training video.
In addition to the free training, there will also be some pretty sweet bonuses on the page. Make sure you grab those too before Danny takes them down.
2. Amplify Your Press Releases
After you write a press release, do you post it to your website and hope somebody finds it? Or do you make it easy for others to share it with their followers and fans?
Here’s the first of six tips on how to use social media to amplify your press releases, from Cision: Create share-Worthy updates.
Don’t make your audience work to share your release. Do it for them.
Write several tweets or updates with highlights from your release and schedule them in the week following the publication of your release. These highlights could be statistics from the release, a quote or other tidbits that are condensed, easy to share and interesting.
Check out the other five tips at theĀ Cision blog.
3. PR Blogs Galore
