1. Press Release Contest
======================================
So you think you write a great press release?
Here’s a chance to show off your talents, and experiment with a
press release service for one month, for free, with a chance to
grab $18,000 in prizes.
It’s the first-ever “News Release Contest” sponsored by
ExpertClick.com, the two-pronged service that features guest
experts on their own Press Room Page, and posts the experts’
press releases online while also distributing them to the media.
(The terms press release and news release can be used
interchangeably.)
I’ve been promoting ExpertClick for many years because my readers
have success stories galore about how they generated publicity
from this service.
But when Mitch Davis told me he’s opening up the contest to PR
agencies all over the U.S., my heart sank! That’s when I told him
I want my Publicity Hounds to have an edge. And he said yes!
Read about how to enter, and the special category he has created
just for you. Full details are at my blog.
Even if you don’t feel like entering the contest, share this link
with your own blog readers, ezine subscribers, Twitter followers,
LinkedIn connections and Facebook fans. They’ll love you.

2. How to Show Your Little Face
====================================
When you do a Google search and read down the list of results, do
you ever wonder why some people’s little faces show up next to
some of the listings?
When I see somebody’s little face, I usually click on THAT
article instead of someone else’s.
So all those little faces have an unfair advantage, don’t you
think?
Google doesn’t think so. That’s because Google makes the rules.
And what Google says, goes.
When social media strategist BL Ochman was my guest on a Google+
webinar two days ago, she explained how to get your little face
next to the titles of your blog posts, articles, videos and other
content on Google’s search results. It’s a tad tricky, but you
can do it with some help from your techie.
The room was packed for this training session, and BL removed the
mystery of how to use Google+ to your best advantage. Everyone
who registered already has received PDF copies of the slides she
used, so they can refer to step-by-step instructions.
If you missed “Why Google+ Matters to Your Business and How to
Use It Wisely,” don’t worry. It’s available right now.
As soon as you order, I’ll email you the links so you can
download the video replay, the slides and all the other materials
and get started this weekend.
If you registered for the session but did not receive the links
last night, click “Reply” and I’ll send them again.
