1. Pinterest Copycat for Men
==================================

Man up. Sign up. Pin up.

That’s the slogan for the new site called Dudepins, “the man-cave
version of Pinterest,” at http://www.dudepins.com.

No frilly photos of wedding cakes, upswept hairstyles, or craft
projects exploding with color.

Women are allowed to pin, but the images need to appeal to men
and fall into categories such as sports cars, beer, motorcycles,
cigars, rugged vacation destinations, and furniture and toys
perfect for a man-cave.

If the owners of Dudepins find content they think isn’t manly
enough, they might delete it.

Are you repinning images from your favorite journalist? If not,
start now. Sharing their content is one of the best ways to get
their attention. That was one of dozens of tips I shared last
week during the webinar “How to Use Social Media Sites to Connect
with Journalists.” You can order it, and get the 15-point bonus
checklist, at
http://publicityhound.com/publicity-products/marketing-tapes/journalistsonsocialmedia.htm

Thanks to Publicity Hound Gail Sideman of Milwaukee, WI, for this
Pinterest tip.

2. Books That Become Hits
==================================

Authors tell me they love the series of videos from Jack Canfield
and Steve Harrison on how to write books that become hits.

The second of three videos was released yesterday and you can
access it at http://budurl.com/jackcanfieldvideo2

I’m a compensated affiliate for this program because I hear
constantly from frustrated authors who take a wrong turn
somewhere on the path to publishing and get stuck with thousands
of books they can’t unload. In this series, you’ll learn the
formula for not only selling books, but making your title worthy
of a coveted spot on the New York Times Best Seller list.

3. Help This Hound
===============================

Publicist Roberta Stein of Skokie, IL, needs ideas for generating
publicity for her client, a former dentist who was diagnosed with
Parkinson’s Disease. He’s an inspirational speaker/author, and I
see publicity opportunities galore.

I hope you’ll add to the three ideas I gave her in the Comments
section at http://publicityhound.net/?p=11570

4. Whitelist This Ezine
===============================

Don’t fall off my subscriber list because of overly aggressive
spam filters.

Aweber, the company I use to deliver this to you, has a step-by-
step guide on how to Whitelist your email address:
