How to get a non-LinkedIn user to recommend you

If you’re trying to generate recommendations for your LinkedIn profile, you’ll eventually extend an invitation to someone who would be happy to endorse you, but isn’t on LinkedIn and doesn’t want to bother creating an account.

It could be your college advisor, who’s in her 90s. You were her star pupil. But she doesn’t even know how to use a computer and doesn’t want to learn.

Yet she’d still be happy to write the recommendation for you. What do you do?
