Press Release Tip 55
How an author promotes a website
A. Michael Bloom of Boston, an elder care expert, offers help for caregivers. He hired Nancy Juetten to write a press release for him and used Dan Janal’s Guaranteed Press Releases distribution service. Dan suggested Michael optimize the release for “Boston elder care expert.” That’s exactly what he did.
I like the way Michael launched the website in National Family Caregivers Month.
WFXT-TV Channel 25 in Boston did an in-studio interview with Michael for a segment on Baby Boomers and the looming elder care shortage. And that led to speaking engagements.
When I search Google for “Boston elder care expert,” Michael’s releases on PR Newswire, distributed through Dan’s company, are still ranking second and third in the organic listings—five years later!
You can see this press release as it appears on PRNewswire.
Here’s the release:
Boston Elder Care Expert and Author A. Michael Bloom Launches Website CaregivingWithoutRegret.com
to Offer Practical Support for Caregivers Just in Time for the Holidays
BOSTON, Nov. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Tens of millions of people are selflessly caring for a sick or elderly loved one. The demands on time, money, and energy for those thrust into this situation are daunting. Caregiving Without Regret™ Expert A. Michael Bloom launches the new website CaregivingWithoutRegret.com in honor of National Family Caregivers Month to further his mission to energize and support caregivers at a time when the lives they save may very well be their own.
When duty calls, the caregiver jumps right in to support the family member or friend in need without hesitation and puts other parts of their life on hold or on the back burner. Given the complex needs of their loved ones, caregivers often experience a decline in their own health, increased stress, and are at risk for burnout and depression.
Bloom’s new website offers practical support for caregivers to provide high quality, sustainable care with confidence, determination, and balanced attention to their own needs. The site includes membership to a brand new group coaching and support program that will provide a Caregiving Without Regret™ Thrival Kit filled with tools for family caregivers to recharge their energy while avoiding burnout.
Program members will be compassionately guided to:
- Clarify caregiving roles so family members and the loved ones receiving care achieve greater cooperation and harmony during the caregiving journey.
- Craft a practical caregiving support plan that readily achieves buy-in from family members and external members of the caregiving support team so caregivers get the help they need when they need it.
- Engage in fun, soul-soothing activities that will sustain caregiving energy and live more fully for themselves.
- Use some of the newest technology that can streamline communication and help caregivers provide the highest quality of support to their loved ones for the long term.
If you are looking for the most loving and practical holiday gift for yourself or the special caregiver(s) in your life, consider purchasing the Caregiving Thrival Kit and Caregiver Recharge Bootcamp. The introductory, holiday season price is only a one-time fee of $97 and includes a series of group coaching and training webinars in 2015 facilitated by Bloom himself. You can grab your gift now at http://www.CaregivingThrivalKit.com.
Bloom is a “walk the talk” mentor having served as primary caregiver for his parents in their final years. He is the author of the book “The Accidental Caregiver’s Survival Guide” and is a highly sought after speaker, workshop leader, and coach, who has influenced thousands of caregivers to embrace effective tips, tools, and coping strategies to avoid burnout and provide quality care without regret.
The Caregiving Thrival Kit opens the door for even more people to benefit from his expert guidance and thrive in the New Year. His aim is to inspire and train fellow caregivers to care for loved ones in a way that leaves room for joy and freedom in their own lives. He recalls that it took just about every ounce of his being to care for his parents and not lose himself in the process.
“I can now reflect on my caregiving journey as soul-fulfilling and transformative,” he said. “I provided care without regret and supported my parents to age in place and die with dignity in the comfort of their own home. Now I honor their legacy by nurturing and supporting my fellow caregivers.”
