{"id":5408,"date":"2015-09-08T14:27:17","date_gmt":"2015-09-08T14:27:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saeler.com\/?p=5408"},"modified":"2022-10-13T15:26:19","modified_gmt":"2022-10-13T15:26:19","slug":"wordpress-admin-menu-chrome","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/purelysupp.com\/wordpress\/wordpress-core\/wordpress-admin-menu-chrome\/","title":{"rendered":"WordPress Admin Menu a Mess in Chrome"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">*Update &#8211; This issue has been resolved, simply update Chrome and\/or WordPress<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m not certain when this issue with the WordPress admin menu actually arose, but I just started to see it over the past few days; it&nbsp;may be specific to Chrome on Windows 10 as I have yet to see the problem occur on a previous version of Windows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Details about this issue with WordPress on my system:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Windows 10<\/li><li>Google Chrome&nbsp;Version 45.0.2454.85 m<\/li><li>Safari, IE\/Edge and FireFox all work fine<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Symptoms of WordPress Admin Menu Malfunction:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>WordPress Left Admin menu a mess, appears to not be rendering CSS properly<\/li><li>Notification bubbles are out of position sometimes floating over the text of the menu item<\/li><li>Menu items float over each other<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How To Fix The WordPress Admin Menu<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, this problem doesn&#8217;t appear to have a permanent fix at this time, but you can try the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Try doing a hard refresh Ctrl key + F5 Key simultaneously\n<ul>\n<li>If this is just a loading issue, the hard reset will fix the problem<\/li>\n<li>Works intermittently, but may make using Chrome bearable in the short term<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/chrome\/browser\/beta.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Update Chrome to latest Beta<\/a><\/li><li>Worse case &#8211; try an alternate browser like Safari, Internet Explorer\/Microsoft Edge or FireFox<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>*Update &#8211; This issue has been resolved, simply update Chrome and\/or WordPress.
