Need volunteers for your nonprofit or community group?<\/p>\n
–Skip the expensive ads in local newspapers and pitch a story
\nidea about what your group is doing. Mention that you’re
\nrecruiting volunteers.<\/p>\n
–Place items in local church bulletins.<\/p>\n
–Contact local real estate agents who have their own newsletters
\nand ask them to include a blurb.<\/p>\n
–Post flyers at local ethnic food stores if you need volunteers
\nwho speak a foreign language.<\/p>\n
–Post on Craigslist.org, Idealist.org, VolunteerMatch.org,
\nneighborhood listserves, AARP’s Create the Good at
\n http:\/\/createthegood.org\/sso\/required\/post-opportunity Serv.gov,
\nand at local universities. All are free.<\/p>\n
