\n1. Help Reviewers Find Your Book
\n=====================================<\/p>\n
Right now, thousands of readers are searching for a book to read
\non their spring vacation, or a book that helps them grow a
\nbusiness, or a cookbook that shows them how to whip up an omelet,
\nor the perfect title for a little bedtime reading.<\/p>\n
They’re at sites like Goodreads.com and Shelfari.com, poring over
\nbook reviews and recommendations from their friends and total
\nstrangers.<\/p>\n
Are readers buzzing about your book?<\/p>\n
Not if you haven’t visited these sites, created an author profile
\nand let people know what you’ve written. Shelfari, for instance,
\nlets readers influence their peers by rating and discussing books
\nonline. Readers can join online book groups and interact with
\nauthors whose titles they love.<\/p>\n
Goodreads and Shelfari are only two of dozens of online
\ncommunities where authors can find millions of readers searching
\nfor a book to enlighten or entertain them. Confused about which

\n4. Kotex’s Clever Pinterest Campaign

\ncool campaign on Pinterest, the wildly popular social media site
\nthat lets you “pin” photos to a digital pinboard.<\/p>\n
\nboards to identify what inspired them, and then created a
\ncustomized gift that tied into each woman’s inspiration. But
\nbefore each woman could receive her gift, she had to “repin” a
\nphoto of the wrapped gift on Pinterest.<\/p>\n
\nhand-delivered to her doorstep, many tweeted about the gifts,
\npinned more photos on Pinterest and shared on Facebook, Twitter
\nand their blogs. The campaign received more than 694,000
