Plan a Meetup with your neighbors on<br \/>\nWednesday, Dec. 8, to decide who you want to nominate, and take a<br \/>\nphoto of your group. A Meetup is an offline event that&#8217;s<br \/>\norganized and promoted at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.Meetup.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.Meetup.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>While you&#8217;re there, Time also wants you to help decide who the<br \/>\nmagazine should choose as its &#8220;2010 Person of the Year.&#8221; You can<br \/>\nuse the magazine&#8217;s current list of candidates as a guide.<\/p>\n<p>After the Meetup, report back to Time and let the magazine know<br \/>\nabout your nominees. Submit the photo of your Meetup, too.<\/p>\n<p>This is a great way to generate publicity for your local<br \/>\nneighborhood group, nonprofit, or volunteer organization that has<br \/>\nhelped your community. Don&#8217;t forget to contact your local TV<br \/>\nstations and newspapers to let them know when you&#8217;re meeting.
