I’m claiming mine in the next week or so, and adding canned peaches to my larder.

1. Pinterest Tips for Dull Topics

Do you have a book, a workshop, a consulting business or another product or service on a dull topic that’s difficult to illustrate?

Topics like environmental clean-up, mortgage refinancing, memory loss, risk management, even leadership don’t lend themselves to attractive photos.

Then there are those topics that are darn near impossible to illustrate such as incontinence, jock itch, STDs, hemorrhoids, body odor and bad breath.

If your topic is dull or tough to illustrate, you can still make a killing on Pinterest, the red-hot site that features gorgeous images, simply by offering helpful tips on how to solve the problem.

My board “50 Tips for Free Publicity” has claimed the #1 spot on Google for the keyword phrase “free publicity” for several weeks, and I’ve only pinned 23 of the 50 tips!

The board consists of nothing more than “how to” tips written on spartan PowerPoint slides in white lettering on a dark blue background. Each links back to one of my blog posts.

The board has more than 1,740 followers. Every time I pin, several people pin, repin and share. That site is even beating my own website in the Google rankings for the phrase “free publicity”!

Pinterest is now the third biggest traffic referrer to my own website. As I’ve been creating the tips, I’ve found several significant shortcuts that make doing all this a lot easier and quicker.

Join me from 4 to 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, July 18, for the webinar “How to Create How-to Tips for Non-visual Topics on Pinterest and Earn High Google Rankings.” I’ll explain in step-by-step detail exactly how to create a Pinterest board of how-to tips on any topic that link back to your blog, website, a sales catalog, a squeeze page, or any web page that needs more traffic.

Here’s the best part. Secrets of Publicity Superstars

When you pitch a big TV or radio talk show, you must brand yourself in a way that sets you apart from everyone else.

That’s difficult. It’s also one of the reasons why some Publicity Hounds can’t make the jump from local publicity to coverage in top-tier media outlets.

The “publicity superstars” know how to do it, and you’ll learn their secrets during a free webinar at 2 and 7 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, July 18, with Steve Harrison.

You will learn:

–Tips from a former NBC producer who booked guests for the Today Show and Dateline NBC on how to become a regular guest on national TV and/or even get offered your own show (think Dr. Phil).

–How to brand yourself for the media in a way that celebrates your uniqueness while also separating you from all the other experts in your field.

–How Jennifer became a regularly-featured lifestyle expert on Fox News Channel and the Early Show as well as scoring coverage in hundreds of print media outlets including O the Oprah Magazine, Redbook, US Weekly, Success and Entrepreneur.

–Why your credentials don’t matter as much as you might think, but what DOES matter when the media is deciding whether or not to feature you.

–The hook that helped a nutritionist score so much media coverage it generated over $60 million in sales of his books and information products.

Register for the free call. I’m promoting it as a compensated affiliate because national publicity, if done correctly, can pave the way for more book sales, more businesses, and stronger credibility.

4.
