Write enticing subject lines when sending a promotion to people on your email list.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are several examples Tom mentioned yesterday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ll never do THAT again!&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;He really screwed me over.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Boy did I get in trouble!&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Guess who emailed me?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I got a knock on my door at 4 AM&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Offer an irresistible digital freebie in exchange for someone&#8217;s name and email address at your website.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Give it an attention-grabbing name. Write sub-heads for articles, blog posts and sales pages.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sub-heads break up the gray on a page. They&#8217;re visual clues that tell the reader, &#8220;There&#8217;s more to come, and you don&#8217;t want to miss this&#8230;&#8221; &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By the way, Tom offered a tip yesterday I hadn&#8217;t heard before: How many sub-heads to use when you&#8217;re writing a long bulleted list.
