I saw the one shown here outside\u00a0VanPatten Woods, part of the Lake County Forest Preserve in Sterling Lake, Ill., over the weekend as I was driving by.<\/p>\n<p>Kara Martin, marketing specialist with the Forest Preserve,\u00a0told me they printed Twitter and Facebook banners\u00a0in their in-house print shop and\u00a0display them, one at a time, outside golf courses and other\u00a0facilities within the preserve.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We just replaced the Twitter banner with the Facebook banner this summer,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook banner tells people how to get onto\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LCFPD\" target=\"_blank\">their Facebook page<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0Notice the small &#8220;\/LCFPD&#8221; printed at the bottom.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When we displayed the Facebook banner, we saw the number of fans on your Fan Page shoot up.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You can probably have one of these banners printed fairly inexpensively at your local print shop.\u00a0When you&#8217;re done, think of other ways you can promote your social media presence online and offline.
