Use Calls to Action on LinkedIn<br \/>\n=====================================<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Access our list of experts at&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Challenge your brain here&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Follow our step-by-step tips&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Learn from our free articles&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Search our articles database&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Those are five powerful calls to action that you could be using<br \/>\non LinkedIn.<\/p>\n<p>Where, exactly?<\/p>\n<p>In your status updates, within groups, on your Company page, and<br \/>\non the new Professional Gallery section on your profile.<br \/>\nConcentrate on calls to action that help people, not the ones<br \/>\nthat promote what you&#8217;re selling and which are better used at<br \/>\nyour website, blog, or in your marketing materials.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, while flying home from a speaking engagement, I<br \/>\nstarted listing as many calls to action as I could think of. Piggyback on Pew Study<br \/>\n====================================<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re a member of the Sandwich Generation, or you can offer<br \/>\nadvice for people who are taking care of elderly parents and<br \/>\nyoung or grown children, there&#8217;s a great opportunity to piggyback<br \/>\nonto a new study from the Pew Research Center.<\/p>\n<p>Results of the study, released last week, show that the financial<br \/>\nburdens for middle-aged Americans who care for their children and<br \/>\ntheir parents are rising. This story<br \/>\nis perfect for financial advisors, caregivers and therapists.<br \/>\nOther sources can be authors, speakers and those who have<br \/>\nexpertise on issues like retirement, paying for college,<br \/>\nhousehold budgets, credit cards and long-term care insurance.<\/p>\n<p>When you pitch, include one or two statistics from the study.
