I really feel bad for you Hounds in<br \/>\nOhio.<\/p>\n<p>======================================<br \/>\n1. 5 Reasons to Seek a Sponsor<br \/>\n======================================<\/p>\n<p>If you have helpful information to share with the world, here are<br \/>\nfive important reasons to team up with a corporate or nonprofit<br \/>\nsponsor who can pay for your PR campaign:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;Lots of people don&#8217;t know you. Even if you reach them<br \/>\neventually, they might tune you out. But those same people know<br \/>\nthe big brand names like US Bank, Wachovia, Coca-Cola, Walmart,<br \/>\nToyota, Sony Pictures, and global nonprofits like Junior<br \/>\nAchievement, Kiwanis and YMCA. Partnering with names like those<br \/>\ngives you &#8220;borrowed credibility.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;Your partners have already figured out how to best serve the<br \/>\nmarket you&#8217;re targeting. They know if email works better than<br \/>\ndirect-mail. They know what type of sales copy is most effective.<br \/>\nThey&#8217;ve spent millions of dollars on the kind of consumer<br \/>\nresearch that you and I can&#8217;t afford.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;They have a budget to reach the same demographics you&#8217;re going<br \/>\nafter, and they&#8217;re planning from 6 to 18 months ahead on how to<br \/>\nreach them. If you&#8217;re starting from scratch, you can tap into<br \/>\nbudgets that already exist without scrounging for your own<br \/>\nmarketing dollars.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;They need you! A big company already has a huge staff and<br \/>\naccess to a giant customer base. But if the newsletter editor<br \/>\nruns out of ideas as the deadline for the next newsletter is<br \/>\napproaching&#8211;well, that&#8217;s where you come in. Because you already<br \/>\nknow the audience, you probably have mountains of content and<br \/>\narticles to share.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;You owe it to your message. If you&#8217;ve been given a gift on how<br \/>\nto connect with people either by speaking or writing, your job is<br \/>\nto share it with the world.
