\n1. Yelp Flags Phony Reviews
\n======================================<\/p>\n
If you’re paying someone to post glowing reviews on Yelp for your
\nrestaurant, hotel or other small business, you could end up
\npublicly humiliated.<\/p>\n
Yelp, the local review sites, has started slapping warning signs on
\nwebsites that it suspects are paying people to post phony reviews.<\/p>\n
“We caught someone red-handed trying to buy reviews for this
\nbusiness,” the notice says. “We weren’t fooled but wanted you to
\nknow because buying reviews not only hurts consumers, but also
\nhonest businesses who play by the rules. Check out the evidence
\nhere.”<\/p>\n
Visitors can click on a red button that displays what Yelp says are
\nbogus reviews. The warning will remain on your site for at least 90
\ndays.<\/p>\n
Ouch!<\/p>\n
Imagine what your competitors can do with THAT information if
\nyou’re caught.<\/p>\n

\n2. Promote Your Facebook Page
\n=====================================<\/p>\n
Disappointed by the paltry traffic on your Facebook page?<\/p>\n
No wonder. Studies have shown that the majority of people who Like
\nyour page never return.<\/p>\n
That’s why you have to remind them over and over again about the
\ngreat content you’re posting. Here are three ways to do that:<\/p>\n
–In your Facebook status updates, tag other pages similar to yours
\nthat have a lot of traffic so your update appears on their walls,
\nin front of their thousands of followers.<\/p>\n
–Put the URL on your Twitter profile background. It won’t be
\nclickable, but it will at least tell your Twitter followers where
\nthey can find your Page on Facebook. You can see how I did this on
\nthe left side at http:\/\/www.Twitter.com\/publicityhound.<\/p>\n
–Include the URL in your LinkedIn profile.<\/p>\n
