Crisis counselor Lou Hampton <\/a>of the Hampton Group<\/a>\u00a0in Washington, D. C. says we don’t have to be afraid. He offers these six handy phrases to use during interviews:<\/p>\n

  1. “Let me repeat that, because it’s such a critical point…”<\/li>\n
  2. “One trend we see…”<\/li>\n
  3. “The key point is…”<\/li>\n
  4. “The bottom line is…”<\/li>\n
  5. “The one thing people need to realize…”<\/li>\n
  6. “What is especially exciting\/surprising\/unexpected…”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The phrases are included in Lou’s deck of Mem-cards, <\/a>a package of 26 cards, each featuring a media tip for Hounds who interview.
