Do you brush your dog’s teeth? Bogie, my German Shorthair, loves
\nher peanut-flavored natural toothpaste for dogs, and we’re into
\nan almost-daily routine of brushing. But she’d rather have a Kong
\nfilled with frozen peanut butter. (See Hound Video of the Week

\n1. Look for Journalists on LinkedIn
\n======================================<\/p>\n
When looking for journalists to pitch, use LinkedIn’s Advanced
\nSearch function to find those who are a perfect match for your
\nexpertise.<\/p>\n
Log into your account and click on “Advanced Search” in the upper
\nright corner.<\/p>\n
This morning, I did a quick search for all journalists on
\nLinkedIn in using the keyword phrase “small business” and the
\ntitles reporter, editor, freelance and blogger. LinkedIn gave me
\n24 results.<\/p>\n
Those include a business writer for Huffington Post, an award-
\nwinning freelancer\/blogger for several national publications, a
\nwriter for the Wall Street Journal, a freelance writer and editor
\nfor a spa magazine, a national correspondent at Thomson Reuters,
\nand a freelance reporter for a weekly in California.<\/p>\n
Some of them are connected to me. Others aren’t but they’re in
\nsome of the same Groups I’m in, which means I can communicate
\nwith them there.<\/p>\n
My search took less than a minute, and about 10 more minutes to
\nreview the list and decide which ones are a good fit for me.<\/p>\n
I wouldn’t pitch any of these journalists without first building
\na relationship with them, which I could do in Groups, or through
\nan introduction by a mutual connection, or by offering helpful
\ntips.<\/p>\n

\nimpressive on your Amazon page. And studies have shown that it
\ncan help you sell more books.<\/p>\n
