Here are five story ideas to consider pitching this month and
\nnext. Smart Publicity Hounds will notice that all are evergreen,

–State and county fairs are everywhere. What are vendors doing
\nto spur sales in a bad economy? Can your family “do the fair” on
\na shoestring budget? Nutritionists, can those “anything on a
\nstick” concoctions, wrapped in bacon and deep fried, really kill
\nyou?<\/p>\n
–Piggyback onto the “labor” angle in the weeks leading up to
\nLabor Day in the U.S. Hospitals, are you noticing trends in the
\nlabor room? What perks has your company introduced this year to
\nkeep your excellent labor force intact? Have you turned your
\nhobby, a labor of love, into a business?<\/p>\n
–How has the summer weather affected your sales, tourism,
\nclasses, utility bills, car repairs, food budget or vacation?<\/p>\n
–What are the hot back-to-school fashion trends this year? Even
\nstudents who wear uniforms want accessories to make their
\ntraditional uniforms unique.<\/p>\n
–Some people are still trying to squeeze in a close-to-home
\nvacation. Pitch your hotel, tourist attraction, restaurant,
